Share The Sunlight was originally produced in 1981 by K and R Music, Trumansburg, NY. These songs were written as a response to a series of national workshops held in 1980 under the sponsorship of the Hunger Task Force of the Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church. In June of 1989, the songs were used in Children of the Earth, the premiere performance of the Children's Theater in Lviv, Ukraine.

Lightning Bugs was originally released under the title "Dandelions, Fireflies and Rhubarb Pie" by the United Methodist Church in Nashville, TN. The songs were accompanied by a book of children's stories by the same title and written by Ethel Marbach. This recording was produced by Gene Cotton at a major Nashville Studio, accompanied by veteran studio musicians. The simple, messages at the heart of Mary Lu Walker's children's songs remain the same.

Indies, translated, with simple musical arrangements. Most songs have at least one stanza in the original language (with a version spelled out for easy pronunciation).
